Creating the Chenrezig Sand Mandala @ Haw Par Villa
10:00am June 12, 2024 to 05:00pm June 20, 2024

Watch the coming together of Buddhism and art through the creation of a Chenrezig Sand Mandala by Buddhist monks from India.

From 11 – 17 June, this sand mandala will be constructed as the residential palace of Chenrezig (popularly known as Guan Yin), the Bodhisattva of Compassion. It will be open for viewing from 12 to 20 June at the Rise of Asia Museum (RoAM) in Haw Par Villa.

Mandalas constructed from millions of grains of coloured sand are unique to  Buddhism, and are believed to effect purification and healing.
