A new session of RoAM Talks is in place!
This time, our panel will discuss the evolution of Buddhism and the 7th Lunar Month commemorations from imperial China to present day Singapore.
The moderated session will shed new light on this broad topic and how the festival adapted to changing times yet remain culturally significant to the diasporic Chinese community who celebrate this festival.
Members of the public will also get the chance to pose questions to our panellists.

Founded in 1959, Yeo Swee Huat Paper Agency was a pillar of the paper offerings industry, a crucial component of the commemoration of traditional rituals in Chinese festivals.
Victim of general decline in traditional Chinese trades in Singapore, the COVID-19 pandemic, and an unexpected tragedy, the company shut its doors for the last time in June 2022.
The exhibition is at the Cloud Pavilion in the Culture Courtyard.

In the spirit of inter-faith unity, this event will bring together Buddhist Monks and Taoist Priests in 1 location.
